Good result (again). 4 points from Walsall and Swindon away not to be sneezed at.

Imagine what might have been if we had Tubbs when it was first mooted, and RB tactics hadn't been so negative.

Tubbs is the man is that 4 in three games. Only down side is every time he scores the chance of him staying diminish as he becomes more unaffordable for us. Not to worry though he is a legend for us.

I disagree with that actually. I think the player determines where he plays to a large extent, and having played for his boyhood heroes, and not got a look-in, and having played for Rotherham under his favourite manager, and not got a look-in, I can't help but feel that he might be thinking that he needs to be playing football.

He's 29 and will be 30 in the summer. While goals might give him the confidence to believe he can play at a higher level or with a bigger club, he also might think that he wants to play and score, and he certainly can do that at Crawley. So I think his goals might make him want to stay. He'll be on lower wages if he joins us, but I think he might actually just do that.

Can't wait to see him in action back at the Broadfield!

I'm guessing the people who wrote Swindon are no mugs didn't go; that was the poorest Swindon side I've seen.

We looked a bit tired but yet again a play off pushing side found it hard to break us down and we hit them on the break. The home fans were not happy with the way they played, very much like us under Barker, lots of passing around the back with little cutting edge.

Our back 5 did well again, Jones makes the save stopping it going 2-0 then we go straight up the other end and score, I was not impressed with Dicker again and then he finds the space right from their attack and plays a fantastic ball into Tubbs.

A good point but if we played with the energy of Saturday it could have been 3. I need to see the tackle on Proctor again as from our end it looked a nailed on penalty.

The funniest part was when the Swindon fans started to have a go at the ref and Crawley joined in.

No doubt quite a few of those hedging their bets about getting a ticket for saturday will now decide to pop down to the office. They must really need some cash flow.

Hope all the effort made by the club to get the ground in order will now pay off and we end up with a great season ending.

Cool

Ben

salut Some of us believed in him, and said so on here. Others didn't - 'a failed League One striker' was how someone put it. Hmmm.
Tubbs and Crawley just works.

He wasn't up to league one football, okay lots of reasons why, but he had hardly pulled up trees.....

...he arrived here with a lot to prove.... and like everyone else i'm really pleased for him - and us - that he has done a flippin good job of proving it beyond doubt...

..and he hasn't even played a home game yet... can I suggest "Court of the Crimson King" be played on Saturday to celebrate his.... er... progressive return..!
