If you were there tonight ... keep your ticket; it'll be valid for the replay according to the ctfc facebook post....

play suspended ? how is it any different than it was an hour ago ?

An hour's worth more water on the pitch.

Stupid question to ask really.

We're not just talking about 15 minutes, but potentially another 30 minutes more in addition and then possibly penalties. Had this been the first attempt and not the reply, they might have carried on.

Even though the abandonment was to our advantage, it was the right decision. Good defensive display & Bulman & Drury look strong. Guy Whittingham has got some work to do - Proctor's shooting, Sinclairs hold up play and both players' heading. Nicky Adams needs to be told he's not Georgie Best.

It'll be interesting to see when the game is rescheduled for due to the league programme over Christmas and New Year. It wouldn't surprise me if the game is played on Saturday 4th January.

The ten minutes wasn't to evaluate any change, there wasn't ten minutes from walking off to the decision being announced. The ten minutes bit allowed for a decision without taking abuse.

Think if it wasn't for the TV it would have been called sooner.

So was this freak weather, and not a surprise? Does it get better this time of year? Don't think so, 16 mins to go finish the game, extra time pens who cares, it wasn't a football match for 74 mins so why stop it then.

The weather was having a huge impact both making it very dangerous and making football impossible to play.

Which ever team was playing against the wind had no chance .

I enjoyed tonight, it was not a spectacle but it was certainly a memorable match

I was in the Gazebo and the rain was driving in there even towards the back rows.

I did not hear the attendance announced, it only looked about 1500 to me

Anyone know the attendance ?

It was all a bit of a shambles. The ref disappeared and ground staff went rushing off to get their equipment out. Most people would have understood but the ref ended up looking a bit of a buffoon with the 10 mins nonsense when it was clear it wasn't going to ease.

To be honest it was clear at 7.45 it wouldn't go the distance and it should have been stopped at h/t, as you say it probably only went on because of TV.

The game itself was pretty poor, despite the wind at our backs we only had half chances, mostly Proctor who again looked decent. Second half was a complete farce.

Connolly carried on where he left off Saturday, very combative. Sinclair on the other hand did a passable impression of a pub player, didnt run, jump, chase until he was pulled off. A really poor signing.
