I don't know what to make of it really.

He wouldn't have been my choice but it really depends on what contacts he has over here. You don't always have to be managing to be in touch with what's happening, plus let's face it it's unlikely he could do any worse than 1 goal in 8 league games.

Having managed to exit RB, Williams and Coppell, Michael Dunford has nailed his colours to the mast on this one. Time will tell whether it's an inspired choice or misguided loyalty.

Will the board back him financially?

Based on what I have seen over the last two months there are probably 5 players I would put on the transfer list to try and free up some budget for some new faces.

We seem to be assuming that Michael Dunford knows or has worked with JG in the past, but is this the case as the dates dont add up as far as I can see?
People keep mentioning a press conference but where was this announced?

All depends if you are on twitter or not, really. If you're not, you wouldn't know. There's been nothing official from the club.

Maybe they want to keep the riff raff out? Oh sorry the Crawley News are invited, that cannot be the reason then!

I didn't realise you were press Mick. Maybe you should have a word with Bruce asking him for an invite. Laughing

Hardly official is it. Press, press and press. One thing I learnt many years ago was 'never trust the press', even if they are right for a change.

Regardless of whatever your opinions on his appointment, John Gregory is here now and he is the manager of Crawley Town.

He, the club and the players need our full support. We're in free fall at the moment so hopefully we can get some zip back into everything with a cup win and then move on to our tricky league fixtures.

Good luck John, 100% support here.
