Well that was poor again. Just seen on the BBC they had 22 shots which says a lot for how we concede the midfield and allow a team three leagues lower to have a go at us.
No one played well, needlessly giving the ball away and giving them hope. We just didn't look authoritative and it was hard to tell who the League 1 side was if you didn't know.
What was all that heavy handed stuff after the match with their Stewards forming a line along the penalty box preventing our players coming to us???? Did they think we might attack them????
Didn't like being kept behind in the Stadium until their supporters had left to lessen the chance of any trouble, what kind of place is Hednesford?
Anyway, 18k prize money with the promise of more to come with a good draw tomorrow afternoon.

Noticed Barry Cogan in that report, had a good one season with us I remember. Didn't realise we were the last team he played for before Dover.

Well I don't imagine that Swindon's "Legod" will be paying a visit. 4-0 crybaby2

So just the one major shock today.Swindon were a little unlucky in their 4-0 loss at Macclesfield.

Tamworth 1 Cheltenham 0? Maybe not a shocker but Cheltenham did beat us...

Shame to see Luton go out at Welling Laughing Perhaps they are focusing on the league.

I don't class that as a "major" shock.
An upset,yes,but a major shock,probably not.

Our old 'friends' Boreham Wood nearly had a shock

That effort from edge of area would have been a scorcher

We're 35 in the draw tomorrow, do look out for us. Laughing

From the Pitmen forum, the view of one of your real fans -

Firstly can the d***heads who call themselves fans, but turn up for big games and set smoke bombs off and throw coins on the pitch, please clear off and don't darken our door again. What a disgrace and a poor reflection on the town.

Secondly, can all those people who come out for the odd game when there is media coverage etc. please come to the ground more often and support the lads and the club. This place is unrecognizable from where we were 5 years ago and I get irritated by people who wear our scarf asking, "who is the number 5?" etc

Yep, the only surprise was it wasn't double that.

To say Swindon were bad is being generous.

There were about 8000 people at Old Trafford asking who the number 5 was.I feel this mans anger,I really do.

I suppose you should expect a fast start from the underdogs but equally why can not the team from a higher level with more (supposed) quality come out and blow the "minnows" away. We started so slowly and barely got out of our half for 20-25 minutes and when we did our final ball was generally dreadful.
We did slowly get into the game but with just one up front we were never going to cause them too many problems (and we certainly didnt, again we barely troubled their keeper).
One of those game where all you can take from it is the result, other than that it was almost like being at a Southern League game (and not just because of the ground - which had a good atmosphere at the home end despite the morons with the flares) with football to match, although I thought Hednesford were not a bad side.
And the report on the OS said Sinclair rose and nodded it in, but I thought it just hit him on the thigh and dribbled in, not that it really matters but dont want anybody getting the impression one of our forwards scored a cracker! Good delivery in for both goals though, which made up for some of the shockers from Adams in the first half.

I expected a battle and we got one..Hednesford are a good team who will no doubt get promoted and do well next season. They were well organized and played with lots of skill at times.

It took our players a while to settle on a tricky pitch but felt once we got going we were in control of the game and never really looked in much trouble. Dannie Bulman was immense and never stopped hassling their midfield. The back four played well and on the whole kept their prolific goal scorer very quiet..

Great shame for them that some of their so called fans let them down on their big day. As for keeping us all back at the end of the game what a complete over reaction..

Anyway job done and we are in the hat for next round...Don't care who we get as on our day we can beat anyone a la Peterborough away..!!
