The GA offence happened right in front of me, sat front row in the East stand. He deliberately stamped/followed through aiming down on their players (Legge) chest/under arm. The ref saw it straightaway and appeared to roll his eyes and shake his head, as if to say why you put me in this situation. I don't GA can argue with a straight red. Seen yellows given for it, but end result is the same (albeit length of ban different) i think GA was already on a yellow for a first half foul on same player.

Great game, even better to have won.

well played Clarke and Bulman, the latter is tireless.

An entertaining game. We made heavy weather of that. I'm told it definitely was a pen for their first and it definately was a clock-up for the second and they almost had a third from another clock-up (defender against the post). The attackers cannot keep getting the defenders out of Jail.

As an attacking force we look very good but what on Earth has gone wrong with our defense? Answer on a post card to RB please.

Still, well worth the entrance fee. I shall go again.

Fantastic entertainment...almost every player excellent...especially Bulman, Adams and Clarke. Hardly a pass out of place. Only fly in the ointment was the reffing....if he had given a yellow to Lee for going through the back of Adams early on then most likely the other yellows and reds would not have been needed. Also the Check-a-trade side linesman was a bit keen on waving the flag for offside when players were only level ..but at least he was consistent.

Not a regular by any means to Crawley games as the past games I have seen have not been great, have seen quite a few over the last 3 seasons though. What a difference today, some great football & the best atmosphere I have experienced at a Crawley game sitting in the East Stand. Only attended today because my son has a season ticket through Junior Reds & I am a member of CheckATrade so got a free ticket but I will definitely be going more often now if the standard of football continues, shame about the ref as stated by others but that's football.

I was surprised the 1st foul on Adams didn't bring a caution, May have changed the game but then maybe the ref thought talking some sense into an idiot may have helped, sometimes worth a try.

Have to chuckle that people thought Alexander's dismissal was wrong, it was so bad that it was obvious in the west stand and the poster above calls it right. If a Gills player had done that we would be screaming for him to go.

Deserved to be up at half-time, stupid penalty, very obvious what was going to happen. Blinding winner but felt we made hard work of it against a limited side.

As for the ref I thought he started well, needed to tighten up quicker when things started getting daft but then controlled again. Always happy to be shown how it should be done by the moaners, ref one of the fan matches and give advice to that day's ref. It's a hard job and yet to meet one that wants to give a bad game.

Hate it personally, but will put up with it if they are putting money in the club.

And if it is after we score, I hope it will be played a lot in the coming games!!!!

Ewan is keen for feedback. ewandunlop@crawleytownfc.com

I asked if it will be a regular thing, he said it depends on the feedback he receives.

Interesting reading the comments. I wasnt there today but tbey showed the highlights on sky. I watched the penalty several times and I am still not convinced fadz touched him.
As for GA sending off it looked like he was trying to get his boot out of the way and kneed him in the back. May be a yellow card but not a straight red I reckon he might appeal that one. As for tbeir sending off it looked like a yellow card.
Good three points. Laughing
