Asking as I honestly have no idea of the answer. Roughly what kind of figures would we be looking at here? Not a sarky question as £1 would still be an increase from before the deal just wondering what kind of impact realistically you could have. Paul made reference to a couple of possibilities, would that be it, if it is that, or more to come?

The club is donating some of Checkatrade.comís sponsorship fee to local community projects as Crawley Borough Council owns the stadium and agreed to it being renamed.

I wonder how much we've had to give out due to us not owning the stadium?

Well done to all concerned, particularly Michael and Ewan.

As has been said, it'll always be Broadfield to us, but if someone else wants to pretend it's something else and is willing to pay for the privilege, then pay away.

This.

I'd safely suggest it would be certainly no more than £100,000/year, though it could be close to that amount.

I'm surprised the club didn't mention that Checkatrade are a company based in West Sussex.

I've used them a few times to source traders to do work at home and will again should the need arise.

The away supporters will now need to update their sat navs as the Broadfield Stadium Roundabout and other road signs will be re-named too !!

Shirt sponsorship for the conference winning season was around £36,000 per season and this was before the major investment was announced. A stadium sponsorship for a team in league one with regular TV exposure looking easy £100,000 a year I would have thought, possibly more.

On the rare occasions that I will be able to attend these days, I will still be going to "the Town" (as in Mead).

Why would you be going bowling when there's a game on?

My heart says it's horrible, a cheapening of our club and it general I hate naming rights of stadiums.

My head says it's great for the club and it secures it's future.

I guess I'll have to be somewhere in the middle, I guess. It'll still be the Broadfield.

We've been here 16 years, there's no tradition lost. Take the money and run!

Well done Ewan and the new CEO.

This is a good deal for Checkatrade as well as the club. I had never heard of them until 20 minutes ago.

Nor me. But as long as they are a bit more substantial than Platinum Ignitions then we've done well.
