If all Holloway was getting was on the level of the old "........sacked in the morning..........." routine then maybe his sense of humour bypass op was successful.

I heard Holloway on SSN last night and he said it was the worst week of his career. Missed out on players he thought were in the bag, problems in training etc.

Bit of a rambling interview where he talked about using a shotgun rather than a scattergun.

Looks like yesterday's result might have tipped him over the edge. If they weren't odds on to go down they will be now.

What - you mean people writing a player off after one match? Standard procedure on here for some, I'm afraid. Sometimes players don't even get the luxury of one match!

Enjoyed watching the goals. Have only seen one game pre-season but seems as though the players we do have look up to the task of consolidating in League One, but the squad lacks strength in depth, and a few injuries or suspensions is going to leave us struggling.

It sounds as though we've been looking to strengthen but can't match some of the offers players are being made. Particularly a shame to miss out on Tubbs.

Let's hope RB can add 1-2 this week.

On another note, looks like the pressure is getting to Holloway already. When Palace got promoted I thought they might struggle and it still seems that way.

Palace kick off two weeks later than CTFC, but that aside they looked very average.

I enjoyed the game, I note CTFC still play very narrow and I do miss an old fashioned winger, but the full backs supported well and I really liked Drury and in particular Simpson in midfield.

When Proctor came on from Clarke I also felt it gave the team another target and he held up play better to allow the midfield to support the front men.

A cracking goal from Sadler at the end, and for all of Sergios running and graft I thought from a personal point of view he looked the weakest link.

Poor turn out from the Crawley faithful behind the goal, but I can confirm the Hot Dog was pretty decent grub - well so the little un said as I am on a health kick!
