I hear that former Red Paul Armstrong may be playing for Burgess Hill this season. - He should feature Saturday.

4-0 now, first preseason goal for Billy Clarke and then an OG.

First half team with a strong 11 played well moved the ball about well. Second half Burgess Hill tired towards the end and the score line looked convincing. Hard to really gauge much from the game as the opposition were at times really poor especially that own goal they gave away. At least we scored some goals though which we have struggled with of late. Hopefully we'll continue to step it up a bit now we're getting closer to the season.

I agree - difficult to read much into it. I would have thought 5-0 was about par for the course against a team 5 levels below us.

Bearing in mind we had almost a first choice 11 in the first half I thought there was plenty of endeavour and puff but little quality. Second half was ok as they tired, couple of decent goals from Billy Clarke but none of the fringe players really stood out.

To be fair it was very hot, and a hard dry pitch, so i'll defer judgement for a couple of weeks.
