According to the Argus sports reporter Steve Hollis, a new signing is due to be announced. Watch this space I guess

(Apologies for not being able to add the link from Twitter, using a work PC)

It will not be Tubbs, it might be Rooney as a friend at our swindon datacentre told me he was signing for crawley (apparently they are mates.)

Personally I hope its a decent right back.

Personally I hope it's any right back. We had three last season - they've all gone.

Who ! Laughing
Well I got my wish, looks like he fits the bill. He is young, good athlete, (and dare I say within our budget.)

If he turns out as good as Essam Walsh and Connelly I wont complain.

We could still do with some cover/competition at right back.

I suppose that finally puts to bed the will he/won't he Dumbuya saga now.

Defence sorted as far as I'm concerned. Lots of options for RB to consider in the backline.

One or two strikers are what is essentially needed now IMO.

A lot more than that needed I think

If you look at the player profiles there are only 17 players listed, that includes Maddison, Smith and Malins, while everyone plays the 'will Torres be going' and the 'please will Alexander go' games, add Drury and Hurst and that only makes 19 max

Personally i'd have thought that another six signings would be an absolute minimum and that's only if nobody leaves

Walsh still a target for Palace though, says so in The Sun today so it must be right.

East anglia is pretty small really. When you live in here and say your going to watch Crawley it always sparks conversation then I explain and it always seems to be remembered. (No one ever asks me to explain dwdm or crypto techniques which are my real field they just want to talk football.) Confused

I am not sure the guy at Swindon is anymore than a supporter, I know him through work, he escallated a network problem to me over the weekend. I ask hime how he knew and he said Rooney was a mate, I wouldn't put any money on it.
I seriously cant see us buying him. I basically dont believe we need him and I doubt if he is cheap, so why would we.

Welcome to CTFC James, looks like a promising signing. Young, 6'1 according to Wikipedia, good pedigree.

Welcome Mr Hurst. I wish you a long and successful career at Crawley.

Oh, Graeme. Everyone knows dwdm is just a method of getting more info down a fibre optic cable by using frequencies and crypto technology is only a souped up method for beating Suuperman. Very Happy

Jim Baker

Just had a look across some forums and a Salop fan on the League 1 forum says he is "quality" Compares him to Matt Sadler.

That'll do!
