Crawley captain Josh Simpson says he will sign a new contract in the few next days.

The midfielder’s current contract is up at the end of the season but the player has always expressed a desire to stay and is now on the verge of extending his current deal.

Simpson said today (Tuesday): “I’m hoping in the next couple of days to get it all tied up so I can extend my stay at Crawley.

I think this has been his best season for us on the whole. He could have been our player of the season but for injury. I would definately keep him.

Very good news that.
Simpson has settled into league one football comfortably and will only get better and better.

Good news, if we had to loose one I prefer to keep Simpson rather than Sparrow. Plus if Dumbaya goes he can cover right back which is useful.
