Thought we played quite well last night, should have taken all 3 points but
am starting to say that too many times now this season.
All in all we are going in the right direction, and with a fair younger players
in the side as well which is nice to see.
Thankfully we also still have Dannie Bullman who was immense again
last night.
Definately been a better season than i was expecting a fortnight before
the season began.

I also felt that we played quite well, but once again we failed in the last third of the field !!!

Another mistake from Paul Jones has cost us maximum points - a 'keeper at this level should not concede from that distance. However, as the standards get higher, mistakes get punnished. We may have got away with mistakes in previous seasons and 'rode our luck',but this term Lady Luck has passed us by.

i thought we had at least one clear cut penalty appeal in the first half the defender clearly handled it in the box the ref saw it did nothing the linesman was a joke all night only waved his flag a handful of times

it very much seemed the ref told him to only flag for offside decisions and throw ins

still i think we played well Jones was at fault in my opinion but has won us plenty of points this season so i wont grumble at him - think his confidence is a little shot though

great goal from Matty as someone else wrote Baines would have been happy with that effort

Mike Jones was poor in the 2nd half and deserved to make way, Dumbuya was again very good, id have liked Sparrow to push forward more but with Adams running the midfield maybe Sparrow didnt have the opportunity

we all would have liked 3 points and i think we deserved it over the 90mins but its another game unbeaten thats 2 on the trot and makes for a very interesting game against Notts County can we make it 3 unbeaten?

Adams running midfield?!!!!
Adams was wide right (or wide left) and misplaced lots of final ball second half, which was the one thing lacking from our performance a decent final ball. I think you are confusing him with Danny Bulman who ran midfield for us, he passed it well and positively, won countless headers and tackles and was our best player. Sparrow does need to get forward more because at the moment he isnt doing anywhere near enough going forward. I thought Mike Jones was the better of the two of them and would have taken Sparrow off.
Not sure who picks the three choices for MOM on the Official site but Matt Sparrow, Mat Sadler and Mustafa (the last one a decent shout), but that was Danny Bulman's best game for us since Preston and he doesnt even get on the list! Shocked

The match sponsors choose the MOM.

If the players need us all to be singing for 90 minutes to put in a performance, then we have the wrong players. That's not the case of course. It wasn't our best game, we should have won really - Carlisle were poor. But if you are more worried about the performance in the stands than on the pitch, then hey-ho....

Agree fully Northgate

The players and management should concentrate on their performance rather than ours.

We're the ones paying after all !!!!

Two wins and a draw in the last 4. Sounds OK to me.

Not play off stuff really but more than good enough to stay up.

Glaring problem with that is those two wins were away! Not a problem if we just want to count points, but much better if the two wins had been at home.
We need to start getting the home fans on side and turning up in greater numbers and as has been proven loads of times before people seem to turn up in greater numbers to watch a winning team rather than a pretty one (Arsenal excepted, as they seem to be using a different set of criteria - lets not bother winning anything anymore!) Confused

Well promotion is based on points but I take your point!

In fact had it not been for a defensive howler against Brentford and a free kick from ridiculous distance against Carlisle it would have been 10 points from
12 and we would all be happy....

Then tell the official site not to bother asking us for our MOM from a choice of three (leaving out the best player on the night as well!).

I fully agree we need to play better at home but I still would like us to be involved right to the end, and success wouldn't hurt us.
As said 'promotion is based on points.'
A few weeks ago I reckoned we needed to get 14 points in March (2 points per game) then we would still be challenging for a playoff spot with 7 games to play. At the moment we are on track.
