Being reported in the Argus newspaper this morning that Jimmy Spencer's injury is taking longer to heal than first expected, and that he is likely to return to his parent club for treatment. Also mentions in the report that RB is likely to look for a replacement signing in the loan window..... one of those things I guess.

or how well do you assess someone in a medical? should you take things at face value? Im not suggesting anyone sinister but theres a medical and there's a full medical or as full as possible.

I am sure RB said Spencer was at Huddersfield yesterday but will be joining the squad this week in Rotherham to get to know everybody but continuing treatment at Hudderfield.

Didn't mention he was looking for a replacement.

Shame. Guess the moral of the story is don't sign an injured player, even on loan.

Clearly when we did the deal we thought he was going to be fit, however as it was a loan we haven't lost much. Better to cut our losses rather than take on someone who is going to get fit at out expense.

There will presumably be opportunities in the loan window.

see its on the web site now.
Presumably RB will get someone in next week.
We probably couldn't afford either, but I wouldnt mind Chris Martin from Norwich, he always looked pretty useful when I have seen him play for Norwich and now DiCanio has got him fit he could do a good job. Apparently he has refused to go back to Swindon, aparently didnt like DiCanio.
The other one I thought looked ok was Harry Kane, I don't think he is premiership level but he would do well in league 1. He has apparently gone back to Spurs.
