Dumbuya was the best player on the pitch, basically he's a better version of Byrne. First half we competed really well, Sparrow was getting stuck in and Proctor was putting himself about. Second half they brought on subs which seemed to give them the imputus whilst we couldn't get anything going up front. A draw was probably a fair result.

I thought we were poor second half, and I thought that Proctor was disappointing, his chance would of killed of the game if he scored it

Happy with the point, very promising performance. Our penalty was soft, their penalty was just a terrible decision but Rooney didn't even appeal so you can only blame the ref.
Have to agree Dumbaya looked really good. Didnt think Byrne was good enough in defence, often caught well out of position. A really promising start.
Proctor looked lively but missed several opportunities to score.
But the best player was Jones, couple of those saves were class has to be my MOM.

We are still missing Fadz.

Positives were we got a point against one of the leagues better team. Mustapha was very good not many will beat him for pace and skilful.

Sparrow did well until he tired . I thought generally in the middle though we were over run and out muscled.

The young fella up front started ok and showed some touches ...should have scored obviously a bad miss. Second half he struggled maybe match fitness. Generally we didn't look that threatening up front other than the great through ball to Proctor.

Anyone know when the Huddersfield lad will be available.

Agree with most of what you said other than the bit about fadz, we only conceded from a poor penalty decision against a side who normally score for fun, yeah it would be nice to have in the team but our defence at the moment are doing more than okay!

Agree defence was solid. All the back four played well. Conolly was a Trojan again. Can't wait to see him and Mcfaz together. The only thing we lack is height on the corners every team has a couple of fellas who dwarf our lads.

My take on it: Swindon edged it until our goal and then we improved. Overall a pretty even first half. Second half we were pinned back for longish periods and Swindon played a more dangerous game. We might have nicked it with a bit of luck. I think Swindon got the better of the draw but not sure that anyone really deserved to lose.

Plus point: Dumbaya - looks a class act. I just hope he doesn't try too much fancy stuff if he's the last man though. Hunt has got his work cut out to win back his place. Hunt is fine but lacks pace. Dumbaya has pace - something we have usually lacked at the back (Howell excepted).

Minus point. M Jones had a stinker. I suppose anyone was entitled to a bad day after such a long lay off. When Torres replaced him with about 5 minutes left (incl. injury time), he started making things happen. Can't help wondering if we might have got an undeserved win if he had come on sooner.

Lets be honest our young centre backs are fantastic right now and without considering the lack of height, fadz will have trouble getting in the team. The defence will be more assured with fadz back but we are doing fine right now.

First half we did OK and were well in it. The turning point for me was the chance for Proctor just before h/t - he never looked confident and it was a weak shot. If we had gone in at 2-0 it would have given us a boost.

Second half it seemed we were increasingly hanging on. Sparrow was finished after an hour and Proctor faded as well. Can't understand why we didn't make better use of the squad, that's why we have 7 subs.

Good debut for Dumbuya, to me looked the best of the signings. In fact we did well at the back, a couple of sharp stops from Jones and Connolly gets better every game.

I hope the captaincy doesn't affect Josh as he was poor today. I agree with Crawley69, we were overrun in midfield, they won nearly all the 50/50 balls.
