Brilliant win.

Darren Deadman not being in their squad this time obviously cost Pompey.

That is another away win to add to the list. I posted a report on here a while ago paying homage to around twenty wins on the road. Can feel an update coming on. This latest win owed much to team work and hard graft in horrible conditions. BUT and he is making a habit of this, Jones producedf an injury time match winning stop !!

Well done to all

Roll on saturday !

Loving that result.

No love of Pompey at the best of times but the way they've casually treated spending in their 2nd administration is criminal. Loving the gate too, not so long ago we were all told what great loyal fans the Pompey crowd were.

Down to the basement with them, where all financially mismanaged clubs should be sent.

And just as nice to see Reds back to winning ways too Very Happy

Really enjoyed that. First half we were totally dominant in the midfield and put Portsmouth under a lot of pressure. In the box it never fell for us. One all at half time flattered. Them.

Second half they had a lot more pressure and seems to improve....we still had plenty of play and got the goal. Both Alexander , Clarke and Adams had good effort to extend the lead but Portmouth always seemed to get a last split second deflection to block it.

Think we sat back a bit last 20 and invited pressure but Claude Davis in the air got everything rest of back four played well also.

Certainly not a bad performance in the team today and deserved win. Great support for Portsmouth 15,000 in their predicament is impressive and they really got behind their team. Great support from our lot as well. 500 plus there I would say maybe more.

Makes you wonder what the crowd would have been if Portpin had been the preferred bidder - shocking turn out for a not long ago Prem team

Poor game in poor conditions today - all a bit too direct for me - great result though!

RIP Poopey

Great performance considering the weather and a deserved win. Joins our games at Doncaster, Preston and Notts County for enjoyment.

Thought crowd was announced as over 15k, but BBC has just over 13k.
Must be the biggest crowd we've played in front of in the league though, and third highest ever.

Great save from PJ at the end again, but Mike Jones MoM for me. Seems to be getting better and better (imho).

A draw/win at the Cherries now to round off the year.

12 points from safety. COYR.

Reasonable performance from the Reds under very poor conditions. Portsmouth were woeful in the first half and didnt deserve to be level at half time.

Second half they produced some better football with their no 2 IMO man of the match wouldn't mind him playing for us.

We dominated the first half and they edged the second so very happy with the three points.

Good following from us estimate around 500 any others would like to hazard a guess?

Looks to be a six pointer on Saturday! would be good to have the same turnout.

A good day out at Pompey, good old school stadium, nice for us behind the goal, kept us out of the horrible rain..

Not the best game of football ever, but it was very entertaining , we were pinned down in our penalty box quite a lot, Pompey seemed to have loads of corners.

Claude was unlucky to score the own goal, he did recover though and played well afterwards.

Nicky Adams was excellent as he is most games.

I did not like the pantomime involving Big Gary in the time wasting episode, not our finest hour that one.

But all in all a brilliant day out and a fab result.

Nice touch from those players who threw their shirts into the crowd.

Well done Crawley Town, I'd like another away day at Fratton Park, but judging by Pompey's results and their poor financial situation, it'll be a long time until we go there again, if ever !

Just got back.
Great win for the Town in awful conditions, although the pitch was in surprisingly good nick considering the amount of rain we have had.
Great support from our lot today, somewhere between 500-600 I reckon, but have to say respect to the Pompey fans in their end, they know how to make some noise at home, something our home crowds could learn from, if only?

Well, he can do one thing well - it was hilarious...

Good work from our support, we did well (for us). The noise from the away end was incredible in moments,

Claude recovered well from the OG (was it going in anyway?). Maybe a chant about "Claude, Jamaking me happy" or something cleverer
